Green Tea + Lemon + Sugar = Win!
Apparently, it's the case. I just saw in Kettle and Cup that green tea is better with lemon and sugar. Interesting, right? I was one of the people who'd normally drink it plain. That or I'd put honey. Now it looks like lemon is what should accompany green tea. To get the green tea into the blood stream easily, that's what you do. Add lemon and sugar.

Awesome Books from Avalon.ph
I've been buying books from Avalon.ph since 2006 or 2007. I've found some Umberto Eco books from there and other books about literature and reading that my sister and I enjoy reading. Sometimes I even buy books as presents for friends and family from that online store.
It's amazing how Jasper Ong runs that store. He seems to keep in mind what his regular customers or "suki" like reading or buying. He also responds quickly to emails or comments on Multiply and/or Plurk. I used to just email him for something I am interested in but now at least I get to interact with him and other regulars via Plurk. Aside from books, he's been selling Moleskines too. My boyfriend's really loving Moleskines so it's no surprise what I am getting him for Christmas and Avalon happens to be my reliable source.
Their website has improved throughout the years too. To me it's more user friendly and robust in terms of features. I do hope that more people will go to his shop and buy awesome books for themselves or for their loved ones.

It's "Travels in Hyperreality" and it just so happened that I saw it on his shop last week. :D Yes, he makes it easier for fan girls like me to feel giddy. And right now, he's offering the first 9 customers to order the large Reporter type Moleskine a 9% discount. Argh, tempting, tempting. But I've got several notebooks I have yet to use.

Taking Photos with an LC-A+
I don't own one. I just happen to be one of the members of an Asian Team in the Great LC-A Race and so I got a chance to use the camera for a little over a week. I didn't get it immediately from the shooter before me. Anyhow, here are some shots I really liked from the set:
Just Waiting
Feet against a post. Probably the most boring subject but the lighting makes it dramatic. To think I only shot this with Lucky Color ASA 200.
Greenbelt 3 lights.
Funky Christmas lights in the park. I love Greenbelt 3 park and it was nice that JM and I were able to take photos in the area.

We have already crossed the street from Philippine Stock Exchange. Then it dawned upon me that the afternoon sun might look good from the middle of the road, where the yellow rails were. And I was right. JM and I both loved the shots we took in that area.
But now that I've seen the other contestants' entries, I see that there's so much more I have to learn when it comes to taking pictures. I need to find the story in a scene. That's what's making it artistic.
Anyhow, I realized that the LC-A isn't so special to me. Maybe I am weird. I just love my Vivitar UW&S, I guess? But yeah, it's nice that it does have metering, and zone-focusing. But I've had terrible shots because I forgot all about the zone focusing. Or maybe I am really just not used to it. But for the hefty price tag, I am not sure if I'd be willing to spend for it. I'd like to borrow one again because it's really lightweight. If it's a camera for me, probably not. A digital camera would be better bang for the buck in my case.

We have already crossed the street from Philippine Stock Exchange. Then it dawned upon me that the afternoon sun might look good from the middle of the road, where the yellow rails were. And I was right. JM and I both loved the shots we took in that area.
But now that I've seen the other contestants' entries, I see that there's so much more I have to learn when it comes to taking pictures. I need to find the story in a scene. That's what's making it artistic.
Anyhow, I realized that the LC-A isn't so special to me. Maybe I am weird. I just love my Vivitar UW&S, I guess? But yeah, it's nice that it does have metering, and zone-focusing. But I've had terrible shots because I forgot all about the zone focusing. Or maybe I am really just not used to it. But for the hefty price tag, I am not sure if I'd be willing to spend for it. I'd like to borrow one again because it's really lightweight. If it's a camera for me, probably not. A digital camera would be better bang for the buck in my case.

Binging on Vocaloid Songs
Yesh, I am binging on Vocaloid songs. Not exactly a big fan of Hatsune Miku. I think she's cute and all but I'm becoming more and more addicted to the voices of Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka and Gumi. I really love the songs I've found on YouTube and I ended up searching for more on NicoVideo.
Now I am looking for more songs. Ack. Yes, it's becoming an addiction I guess. I don't even watch all of their videos. I just listen to the music mainly.
I guess what's addicting about these Vocaloids are their upbeat songs. They do have slow songs too but it's the fast ones that I love more. Some of them you could really dance to. At least I have them to perk me up, right? This kind of music seems to help me work too.
