Some Poi and Staff Videos I've Been Watching

I've missed spinning poi and when my boyfriend and I went to see Planet Zips' Spindependence in Arts in the City, I really envied the participants because of their skills. I took lessons from Planet Zips back in 2007 or 2008 and after becoming busy with work, I stopped my lessons. :( My mentor, Ramir, was patient and he really showed me that even clumsy old me could learn new tricks. Even if it took some smacking on the face, thanks to my poi and my uncoordinated limbs! Hahaha. I was telling my boyfriend and our other friend that we should hang out regularly to practice what little we know and maybe learn a few more tricks every once in a while. It helps to be with a group of people who have the same interests. ;)

Anyhow, here are some stuff I've been watching on YouTube:

That's Meenik, and his videos are amazing! I've watched some of his videos back then and I sometimes try to follow them.  Here's a video on how to learn the 2-beat weave so that's one of those things on my to-learn list.  I am becoming more confident in my reverse thread the needle so I need to motivate myself by wanting to learn something different soon enough.

Stalls - this is one other thing I've been wanting to learn so, yeah hahaha. Must watch this video carefully too.

And then there are those staff videos. Double staff videos, actually. Initially I was thinking of probably learning bo staff moves. But double staff -- these look really good.  Check out these two inspiring videos:

I hope that you enjoyed watching these videos as much as I have. :)
